Welcome to the Last Minute Records home page. We're a small label in Chicago, IL with releases and connections to artists in the midwest and around the country. Thought we've been relatively inactive in the past several years, we're gearing back up with new projects and new friends. Check back often for updates, new releases, and happenings among our family and friends.

We're hibernating a bit for the moment. Relative is working on writing material for what they hope will be a new record and Mike is working with Ten Speed on their upcoming release which we're all very excited about. In the meantime, we're focusing our efforts on doing some volunteering, figuring out where the community is in this wild city, and drinking lots of coffee to keep warm. Look for more exciting news in the spring.

We have some new friends in our midst and some new music in the works. Look for new releases on Last Minute starting early this winter. Mike's also back to doing studio work, both on his own and at Pragma Studios, a wonderful studio on the West Side of Chicago. Perhaps a subtle response (tinged with no small amount of irony) to 2001's Stagnation in Progress, the new relative EP, The Progress of Stagnation is out and available for mail order and at shows for $6PPD. After 5 years, two major relocations, and losing all their equipment relative is back and reflecting on our own history and future in six songs written on and off across that period. With artwork by Brians brother Brad and the best work we've done in the studio yet, this is definitely worth checking out.

relative will be playing shows in and around Chicago... they hope to be touring again by springtime, in the meantime they're focusing on writing and possibly recording smaller projects in preparation for another release. They want to thank friends and family for sticking by them through the long periods of downtime.
